Champassak is a small town situated in southern Laos, almost 40 km to the south of Pakxe. This town includes many guesthouses that caters to the tourists and are of cheap budget price where one can see a relaxing place along the beautiful river bank.
Though a small village, there is a wealth of interesting sights to see here. One can visit the Wat Phu temple ruins which are 10 kilometers away from Champassak.
Many can visit the Champassak Provincial Library, which is a two storey museum too having a collection of historical, ethnological and archaeological artifacts from the region. Other sights worth visiting include Tomo, Thao Tao andNang Sida.
